The Five Stages of a Forenisic Engagement
The Five Stages of a Forenisic Engagement

Collection – Taking physical or electronic control of evidence. Proper handling, chain of custody, verification, photography, documentation – everything needed to establish evidence in trial.

Acquisition – Creating forensic images of hard drives or other electronic sources like cell phones. We create two images: one pristine copy for preservation which goes into one of our safes, and another pristine work copy.

Examination – Keyword searches, usage history, deleted document recovery, internet surfing history, spoliation attempts, webmail, instant messaging, pornography… Everything necessary to understand how and when the computer was used.

Reporting – Extensive, documented expert reports with clear opinions supported by exhibits from examination findings.

Testify – Experience at trial, deposition and arbitration
