Data Processing

With many types of formats and storage media there is no perfect solution. Data Processing is a broad term used to describe the process of extracting and organizing electronically stored information (ESI). Typically when information is processed the electronically stored information is accessed by a processing program. A processing program will pull out any meta-data and file properties as well as any other data the file may contain. Once this information is extract it is put into a database for future culling, analysis or any other process.
